Engraving cuts through the top layer to the colour underneath, so the mark is the material rather than something sitting on it. It will not scuff off after a season in a truck.

How fast do they ship?
Within 48 business hours. The proof you approve on the product page is the approval, so nothing waits on an email thread. Bigger runs and specialty stock can add a day, and we tell you before we start rather than after.
Is there a minimum?
No. Order one.
What file should I send?
A vector file with your cut line is ideal and goes straight through untouched. A PNG with a clear background works too. If neither is handy, upload what you have and we will tell you what we can do with it.
Do I get a proof to approve?
You build it. The proof on the product page is what gets made, which is why there is no back-and-forth. A person still reviews every file before it runs and contacts you if something needs attention.
Can you match my brand color?
On UV printed, close — leave the code in the notes and we will get as near as the material allows. Engraved patches are a single color set by the leather, so brand matching does not apply.
Why did my engraved patch come out one color?
Because engraving burns through the leatherette to the layer underneath. The material decides the color, not your file. Most engrave black; a few two-tone stocks engrave gold or silver.
Do they come with adhesive?
Yes. LoneStar Durra-Bull adhesive is pre-applied on every patch and included in the price. Say so in the notes if you want it left off.
How do I press them?
260F top platen, 400F bottom, 45 seconds on a hat press. Other presses are in our heat press guide.
Can I order the same design in two colors?
Yes, and each color is priced as its own batch, so both get the break their own quantity earns.
What if my design is bigger than 3.5 inches?
Still fine. Anything over 3.5 in wide or 2.5 in tall adds $0.50 per square inch over, per patch, and the volume breaks still apply.
Do you sell the leatherette on its own?
We do, if you cut your own. Same stock, same colors.
Can you draw it for me?
Yes — a custom design is $20 per design and we work from your description.
What is Underbrand?
Interior branding for the sweatband — the tag a customer finds when they take the hat off. UV printed on ProWeave canvas and sold by the 12 × 24 in sheet, with heat activated or pressure sensitive adhesive.
How many Underbrand tags fit on a sheet?
Around 80–90 at or near the standard 2.75 × 1 in tag, depending on your finished size. Your tags follow your artwork though — there is no size cap and no minimum, so a bigger tag simply means fewer per sheet.
Can I order more than five Underbrand sheets?
Yes, as many as you like. The price settles at $52.50 a sheet from five onwards and stays there, so there is never a reason to split an order.
Can I get a proof before you print?
Yes — tick the proof box on any of the three and we send one before anything is made. It is $5 per design however many you order. Leave it unticked and we print your file exactly as supplied.

Laser engraving burns through to the layer beneath for a permanent single color mark with real depth, which survives weather and washing better than anything printed. Both cut to a contour that follows your artwork, or to a shape you choose, and both ship with LoneStar Durra-Bull adhesive already applied so they press straight onto a hat.
