We trace raster art to vector for engraving, so the burn has a real edge instead of a dithered one. Tracing is an interpretation though — if the proof does not read the way your logo should, send an SVG, AI or EPS and we will use your paths exactly.

Why makers choose laser engraved patches
Engraving burns into the leatherette rather than sitting on top of it, so the mark has real depth and will not scuff off the way a print can. It survives weather and washing better than anything printed, which is why it keeps reading after a season of hard wear.
It is one color, taken from whatever the material reveals underneath, usually black and sometimes gold or silver on specialty stock. That constraint is the appeal. A single clean mark on good leather reads more expensive than four colors ever will, and it sits next to a wood or metal label doing the same job.
